The Midcoast Local Coastal Plan - Update / Resubmittal

  • The San Mateo Board of Supervisors voted for the re-submission of the LCP at the supervisors meeting at the May 24, 2011. The MCC submitted a letter to the supervisors on this matter on April 26 supporting propsed amendments and re-submission with notes. (Copy with sections emphasized)

  • The MCC has received a late letter from the California Coastal Commission staff. This letter is supportive of the county's LCP re-submittal but requests three changes.

Background

The Midcoast Local Coastal Plan has been a major focus of the MCC and is in fact referenced in the bylaws. A recent letter to the San Mateo County Supervisors on Local Coastal Plan highlighted current views. At May 11 Supervisors meeting a plan to re-submit the LCP update was adopted by the Supervisors.

Focus: Water and Private Wells

The Draft Midcoast Groundwater Study - Phase III has been released as available at the San Mateo County Planning Department site (Phase 3 Link). This follows on the earlier Phase II study. (Phase 2 Link)
